Downtown Marceline Foundation‘s Ultimate Tailgate Face-off online auction brought the crowds out to support the Main Street program through feasts prepared by Marceline’s passionate grill masters. We’re so thankful to them for buying and cooking such delicious dishes, and to those team players who supported the auction with their bids. We couldn’t have done it without all of you.

The face-off raised matching goal posts of $1,111 that DMF will put towards projects like the Coke Wall Mural restoration, feather flag holes on Main Street USA, and our other plans in the works. (If you haven’t read through the Community Master Plan, check it out here.)

There was an amazing array of flavors, meats, and sides to tempt anyone who loves tailgate food. Grill masters created dishes ranging from KC style BBQ Brisket with Mac and Cheese to Smoked Paella. The finished feasts looked amazing and the aroma was off the scoreboard! (Trust us, you did NOT want to be in the DMF office when the food was being dropped off and picked up! It was very difficult to not grab a fork and sample everything that came through the door!)
