Nestled in the heart of Marceline, Missouri lies a true hidden gem: The Marceline Skatepark in memory of Timothy Frandson. Completed in May 2022, this custom skatepark is a testament to community collaboration and the enduring spirit of adventure.

A Circle Pump Track and More

At the center of the skatepark, you’ll find a unique feature – a circle pump track. Skaters can glide around its curves, gaining momentum and mastering their tricks. The park also boasts various skate features, from rails and ramps, to quarter pipes and ledges. Whether you’re a seasoned skater or a curious beginner, there’s something here for everyone.

The skatepark’s creation was a collaborative effort. Parks Work, a local non-profit organization dedicated to helping rural communities build and maintain community recreation, spearheaded the project. In memory of Timothy D. Frandson, whose love for skateboarding left an indelible mark, the park now stands as a tribute to his legacy. Parks Work worked closely with the City of Marceline to bring this vision to life.

Rules for Safe Play

Safety is paramount! Clearly posted rules guide skaters on how to enjoy the park responsibly. Helmets, pads, and good sportsmanship are encouraged, fostering an environment where everyone thrives.

Connecting Spaces

The skatepark seamlessly connects with its surroundings. Sidewalks lead from the parking lot to the shelter house and restroom facilities, ensuring easy access for skaters and
spectators alike. A strategically placed bench invites onlookers to enjoy the action, cheering on skaters as they defy gravity and push their limits.
